About Counselling
Everyone, regardless of age, can benefit from emotional support when facing stress or difficulties. Counselling provides an opportunity to work through feelings and thoughts with a trained professional, helping individuals reach their full potential. Seeking counselling does not indicate failure; it is an important step in understanding and managing emotional challenges.
Sometimes, it is difficult to speak with those closest to us about what troubles us, either because we do not want to burden them or because we need impartial assistance in processing our thoughts.
My role
My role as your counsellor is to help you navigate your emotions and thoughts, providing a safe, non-judgmental space at a pace that feels comfortable for you. As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs.
My style
While talking is always valuable, I also incorporate various tools and techniques to help identify where difficulties lie. These may include emotion cards, sandtray therapy, art therapies, mindfulness, or engaging in an activity that helps you feel comfortable enough to open up.
Additionally, I offer 'walk and talk' therapy, which may include my fully insured well-being dog, Orla, if you would like her to join us. This option is typically available for face-to-face counselling.
You have the freedom to choose whether to engage with any of these methods, ensuring that your therapy experience is both effective and comfortable.
